Adult Bible Studies
Meeting at 9:30 AM on Sundays, our Adult Bible Studies (ABS) for First Quarter 2025 will include a ladies-only class entitled Women of Discernment taught by Kellie Gray. Classes for all adults will include Genuine Faith taught by Dan Decker, Conquering the Battles of Life: The Book of Joshua taught by Russell Ellis, and Christ: Our Source of Strength for Service (from John 12-20) taught by Bob Mayes. Our Young Marrieds class will enjoy the series 12 Rules of Life taught by Craig Sick. Some of our Young Adults will be teaching their own class this quarter, led by Matt Glunt.
“Classics at Colonial”
Our fourth-annual concert of classical music sung and played by our own here at CHBC. “Classics at Colonial” is scheduled for Friday, April 11, 2025. It’s a unique joy to hear our own play and sing beautiful music performed to bless our congregation, and many friends and family visit for this event.
Junior Church
Kids’ Bible story and song time during our Sunday morning worship for ages four years through second grade.
Ladies Annual Conference
We have joined hearts and hands for over a decade with three other area churches for a combined all-day women’s conference each September. Our 2025 conference (four churches will combine this year) will be hosted by Agnew Road Baptist Church (Greenville). Colonial Hills hosted last year’s conference.
Master Club
“Teaching our Kids to Serve the Master” on Wednesdays from 6:45 to 8:15 PM (from September to April) for ages three years to sixth grade. Your child will enjoy Rally Time, Bible Time, Game Time, Costume/Character nights, our annual March Pine Car Derby, using their points in the Master Club “store” as they earn awards to display on their Master Club vests while learning how to serve the Lord in the church! Twice a year our Master Club kids visit our Midweek service to bless us and share with us some of what they’ve learned. Registration is available on the home page (look for the brightly colored Master Club logo).
Men in the Gap
Our men meet together many times during the year for prayer, fellowship, and encouragement. The “Men in the Gap” 2025 Kick-Off Dinner is Friday, February 7th in the Fellowship Hall. The first Men’s Prayer Breakfast is at 8 AM, March 8th, 2025 and first Zoom Prayer is Saturday, February 1st.
Missions
CHBC supports thirteen missionary families around the world.
Nursery
Ministry Safe-certified care in newly painted and carpeted nurseries during all our services for little ones from newborn to three years old. A private and clean nursing mothers’ room is available for all services.
Outreach
An Evangelism and Discipleship program offers many printed resources free of charge. Please visit the Evangelism and Discipleship Resource Room on the lower level of our main building.
We minister at the Greenville Rescue Mission every other month to celebrate the men’s birthdays with a party and gift bags while sharing the Gospel.
We assemble and pack “Good Samaritan” bags for our church family to bless the homeless.
We host donation drives, and some of our ladies make handmade baby items for Piedmont Women’s Center. CHBC furnished a healthcare room at PWC.
We regularly pick up litter on Taylors Road to bless our neighbors and community,
Sunday School
For all our children, from age 2 years and up, beginning
at 9:30 am Sunday mornings.
Young Adults
Sunday morning Bible studies, monthly activities, and many opportunities to serve encourage and build up our Young Adults. Regular Movie & Game Nights are a wonderful time of fellowship and fun! A Swamp Rabbits hockey game will be enjoyed by all in February. Other activities include a cook-out, bonfire fun, apple picking, and the annual Christmas party.
Young at Heart
Our Young at Heart (ages 55 and better) meet monthly for fellowship and encouragement.
