Joyful Ladies Ministries
The Purpose of the Joyful Ladies Ministry:
- To provide biblical instruction for spiritual encouragement.
- To provide opportunities of fellowship in order to promote unity and spiritual encouragement within the church.
- To provide opportunities to serve the Lord within the ministry of CHBC.
How does this ministry work?
In the spring and fall each year, the ladies meet for a Bible study that will last for six to eight weeks. They may do a book study or study a specific topic. At times they may meet in someone’s home or at another location such as a campground for spiritual refreshment and fellowship.
Also, the ladies will provide a shower for the brides-to-be and moms-to-be with gifts and refreshments. Generally, these are held at the church on Sunday afternoons. It is a wonderful time of fun and fellowship as the ladies encourage the younger ladies who are at these beginning stages of their lives.
The Purpose of this ministry: To serve the missionaries supported by CHBC.
How does this ministry work? Ladies meet at the church once a month to pray for the missionaries, to read the prayer letters, praise God for answered prayer, pray for specific needs mentioned in the letters, and correspond with the missionaries. The goal is to be a blessing and help to those who we have the privilege to support.
The Purpose of this ministry: To provide a time of fellowship as well as a time to work on crafts together as a group.
How does this ministry work? The ladies meet the last Tuesday of the month in a home or local restaurant for fellowship, lunch, coffee, etc.
Ladies Prayer Time
The Purpose of this ministry: To pray for each other and the needs within our church.
How does this ministry work? The ladies meet every Monday morning at 10am in a home of one of the ladies and pray for one another and other requests.
The Purpose of this ministry: To visit couples or individuals who are ill or homebound and are no longer able to come on a regular basis to the church for worship or activities.
How does this ministry work? Ladies will meet at an assigned time, then visit with a shut-in family in order to show love and support for these brothers and sisters in Christ.
